What Is Emotional Trauma?

If you have experienced a very distressing event, or series of events, that have left you feeling helpless and out of control, you may have been emotionally traumatised. Emotional trauma can relate to a recent event or go back to your childhood experiences, leaving you with lasting disturbing memories and emotions, feelings of anxiety, numbness, detachment, and distrust for others.
Emotional trauma can be caused by a one-time event, such as injury, attack, or an accident or an ongoing disturbing situation, such as living in a dangerous neighbourhood, dealing with a life-threatening illness, being bullied, neglected, abused. It can also manifest as a result of a childhood experience, such as a surgery, a death of a loved one, break up of parents, humiliation, cruelty.

What Are Symptoms of Trauma?

Sometimes, symptoms are acute, meaning you can recover from the trauma yourself. See some helpful tips here. Yet, if your distress persists, or goes back to your childhood, still influencing your adult life, you may need help and support to overcome this pain.

How Can Emotional Trauma Be Treated?

Your emotional trauma, its causes and the effect on you, are very unique. Sometimes, a deeper understanding and an alternative perception of the situation will help resolve the issue. In this case, CounsellingEmotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Matrix Reimprinting and Guided Meditation would be sufficient to resolve the issue.

If, however, the damage to the physical or metaphysical bodies has already been done, then Vibrational MedicineEnergy System Rebalancing, and Emotional Aromatherapy would be added to help restore the balance in the organs and systems of the body.

Regardless of the severity of your condition, or whether you are on medications for it or not, we will find a way to relieve, or eliminate your symptoms. You will be treated holistically and based on the causes of your issue, not the symptoms. We will consider every possible contributory factor – physical, mental, emotional, even spiritual – to understand and heal the source of your suffering. In fact, very often, simply identifying the source of an issue can result in considerable improvements, even complete recovery.

These therapies will also help you to recognise and access your strengths, autonomy, and capacity for change and open your eyes to possibilities once again!
